Automatic Robotic Processing Machine

An automatic robotic processing machine for processing a family of stainless steel parts for a medical manufacturer. The system automatically feeds the parts using a specialized feeding system. Using a six axis robot, the parts are transferred through an etching and coating process and then placed onto a curing oven.

The system was engineered with quick changeover capabilities so that it can be set-up to a different size in five minutes without using any tools. The photo on the right shows the touch screen and operator HMI with push buttons. A recipe selection screen allows the operator to quickly select the different parts. The photo in the middle shows the chemical calibration vial for calibrating the system. The bottom photo shows the stainless steel roller conveyor oven for curing the parts.
